Accreditation and Memberships

Envirolab Group takes pride in maintaining membership and accreditation with prominent industry and professional associations. Our memberships and active involvement in the industry ensures that our scientific testing continues to be compliant with and recognised to be of the highest quality in accordance to Australian standards and regulations.

We are accredited by industry authorities including the National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) for a range of tests.

NATA Accredited The National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) is Australia's national laboratory accreditation authority and the largest such system in the world. NATA accreditation provides a means of determining, recognising and promoting the competence of facilities to perform specific types of testing, measurement, inspection and calibration. The benefits of accreditation include a benchmark for performance, a marketing advantage and a recognition of testing competence.

 

NATA verifies our tests and systems including all aspects of the analytical process, such as sample preservation, sample registration, methodology, instrument calibration and maintenance, data records, calculations and reporting of results.

Envirolab Services in Sydney and Melbourne and MPL in Perth are NATA accredited to ISO 17025. Our accreditation number is 2901. 


Environmental Laboratories Industry Group

The Environmental Laboratory Industry Group (ELIG) represents commercially and regulatory focused laboratories that are NATA accredited.

 

The collaboration of environmental laboratories was designed to foster an opportunity to present important issues to the market in a united approach.

 

As an an active member of ELIG,  Envirolab Group General Manager, David Springer was appointed Secretary of ELIG in 2006 - 2007 and then President 2008 - present

 


Royal Australian Chemical Institute The Royal Australian Chemical Institute Incorporated (RACI) is both the qualifying body for professional chemists in Australia and a learned society promoting the science and accepted practice of chemistry through education and industry.

 

Envirolab Group Managing Director, Tania Notaras was elected for the role of NSW Branch President Elect in September 2015. Tania's focus is to create value and appreciation for chemistry across Australia for the public, education, industry, government and other representative bodies. 

 


Clean Air Society of Australia and New Zealand The Clean Air Society of Australia and New Zealand (CASANZ) is a nongovernmental, nonprofit organization formed to bring people with an interest in clean air and the mechanics of air pollution together. CASANZ encompasses broader environmental management affairs, but with particular regard to air quality and related issues.

 

Envirolab has staff actively involved with CASANZ and their endeavour.

 


Australasian Land and Groundwater Association

The Australasian Land and Groundwater Association (ALGA) aims to bring people with like interests together to network, build capacity, exchange ideas and further the science and technology surrounding the prevention, assessment and remediation of contaminated land and groundwater in Australia and New Zealand.

 

As a Gold Sponsor of ALGA, Envirolab has a strong presence in various conferences, networking events, seminars and workshops aimed at the professional development and general support of the industry.  


Australasian Soil and Plant Analysis Council

The Australasian Soil and Plant Analysis Council (ASPAC) is an independent international organisation consisting of individuals, laboratories, researchers and commercial corporations involved in soil and plant analysis.

 

For a number of years, Envirolab has been an active member of ASPAC.
