Envirolab Lab Rats Back to Brave the 2014 World's Greatest Shave
As part of a continued dedication to raising much needed funds for the Leukaemia Foundation, the Envirolab Lab Rats will be back to brave the 2014 World's Greatest Shave.
With the event to be held at the Envirolab Sydney Office on Friday 14th March, the event will see the team comprised of David Springer, Dennis Tam, Gia Long Pham, Ian Stokes, Jacinta Hurst, Jeremy Faircloth, Kasjan Paciuszkiewicz Ken Nguyen and team captain, Nick Sarlamis bid farewell to their locks of hair.
The World’s Greatest Shave is a fundraising event held annually in Australia. Participants are sponsored to shave, colour or wax their hair to help raise funds for the Leukaemia Foundation, a national not-for-profit Australian organisation who provides practical and emotional support to people with blood cancer, as well as investing millions in research.
Statistically, more than 11,500 Australians will develop leukaemia, lymphoma or myeloma this year – or a person every 46 minutes. Personal loss experienced by the team and a general desire to contribute to such an important cause has influenced the continued support and dedication of the event each year.
Team captain Nick Sarlamis said, “I have always been contributing to such important causes and I'm always happy to contribute where it's needed.”
“By setting up a fundraising page and leading Envirolab Lab Rats as team captain, I want to make sure that I’m continuing to do everything I can to support such an important and worthy cause.”
