Based in Perth, David joined MPL in 2012 as the Group Organics Manager, leading our team of chemists across the Group’s laboratories.
With over 25 years in organic chemistry and an extensive knowledge of ultratrace level analysis, he has been instrumental in expanding Organic capabilities across our Group operations. This has included securing NATA accreditation for high-profile tests like Dioxins through to emerging contaminants such as Pharmaceutical and Personal Care Products (PPCPs)
David graduated as a Charted Chemist awarded by the Royal Society of Chemistry in the UK. He gained expertise in organic analytical methods such as steroid analysis, AOX, VOCs, low level pesticides, speciated phenols and phenoxy acid herbicides in water, soil, biota and other matrices. Relocating to Perth in 1997, he played a key role in working with laboratories to secure NATA Accreditation for a vast range of SVOC, VOC and Organotins.
Outside of the laboratory David likes to immerse himself creatively through photography.
